No Hats, No Outfits, Just Fun

If you're just starting out, or even just thinking about it, the notes we've put together here might help. We hope so, anyway.

First steps

So - you've got this far and you're thinking you might just give line dancing a go!
In that case, please contact us (phone or e-mail, contact details here) and we'd be pleased to see you at one of our classes. All you need to bring with you is something to drink and both left feet.

Eastburn ClassBy all means, if you wish, take a look at the terminology page on the website, but don't be put off if you don't fully understand all the steps at this stage; no-one would expect you to, and everything will be explained and demonstrated in class. In fact, there are only two things you need to know beforehand - where Left, Right, Front & Back are and how to count from 1 to 8.

After a brief introduction you'll be able to join in the simpler dances and then, with practice, progress at your own pace to learn more and more.

You'll find that all our class members are very friendly and, as a new dancer, you'll be guaranteed a warm welcome and plenty of encouragement at any one of our classes. The one thing you need to remember is that there is only one rule in line dance - enjoy and have fun!! Oh, and going wrong every now and again is compulsory.

And don't be afraid of being too young or too old; all ages are welcome.

See you at class ...
